No Erasing!!

So this is what I have been working on.  Its called Scratchboard, it a way of drawing in reverse, instead of black on white, you get white on black.  This type of art is less forgiving though, because once you scratch your line I found it hard to cover up since there is NO ERASING!

I am sure the thought is, is that I have forgotten about my blog but I assure you that  I am working on a new picture that I am sure you will all enjoy.  I will be posting it soon!!

A New Challenge!

I have always loved the Art's, anything that has to do with a blank canvas and creating a picture onto it, so I have started teaching myself the art of Wood Burning.  This buck is my first one, and it took me two hours to do.  I am very proud of myself...not because I think it turned out pretty good but because I did not burn myself while doing it!!!!!

Lighthouses.... there are so many different architectural styles, and shapes, this is one of my favorites!

One of my favorites at the zoo...

Giraffe's are not only fun to draw, but they are fun to look at as well.  Their spots are a little difficult, its like trying to put a puzzle together.

Wildlife is great!!

Pictures of wildlife are so much fun to do.  I like to take the pictures myself and work from those, whether its going to the zoo or up to the canyons.  Here is one of my examples of the zoo!!
