So its been awhile since I have posted anything, but I have been working on some new things.  Check out my new tab for "Painting and Crafts",  I have started to try my hand at painting...

Under Construction!!

I need to do some work on my blog, sorry for the inconvenience, currently there is no portraits or art to view but I will be re-posting them soon!! Thanks

Holiday Portraits

Unfortunately for an artist the Christmas season starts early.  I will be taking orders for holiday portraits, give that truly unique gift this year.  Perhaps a group portrait of all the children for mom, or a portrait of dad doing his favorite hobby!  Any orders that are received between now and November 1st will receive 10% off and FREE SHIPPING.  If you would like your order before Christmas, I must receive it no later than November 15th. Feel free to visit the Art and Pricing tabs for examples, or email me at pictureitsketched@gmail.com.  Thanks!

Hunting and Horses...

I had a client ask me to compose a portrait for her dad of his two favorite things...

Hunting and Horses.

No Erasing!!

So this is what I have been working on.  Its called Scratchboard, it a way of drawing in reverse, instead of black on white, you get white on black.  This type of art is less forgiving though, because once you scratch your line I found it hard to cover up since there is NO ERASING!

The current project

I am sure the thought is, is that I have forgotten about my blog but I assure you that  I am working on a new picture that I am sure you will all enjoy.  I will be posting it soon!!

A New Challenge!

I have always loved the Art's, anything that has to do with a blank canvas and creating a picture onto it, so I have started teaching myself the art of Wood Burning.  This buck is my first one, and it took me two hours to do.  I am very proud of myself...not because I think it turned out pretty good but because I did not burn myself while doing it!!!!!
